TRANSCENDENCE THROUGH THE SENSES
Over millennia, wine has served as an emancipator, a vehicle for hope and magic, and a connection to the divine. Through topics of ritual, resistance and mysticism we will explore the many aspects of wine beyond our surface level experience of popping a bottle open at dinner (although that's a part of the story too!) and learn about the ways wine has connected humans throughout time.
In partnership with natural wine purveyors Jenny & Francois and wine educator Sam Hewitt, this evening will unfold into a guided wine tasting social that travels deep into Eastern Europe and into ancient stories that are still very much alive.
Under the guidance of Sam, we'll treat wine as a medium. Viewed in this way, wine carries cultural history directly to the senses. Together, we'll explore the mystic and cultural origins of wines from Georgia, Slovenia and Hungary while talking and sharing about what we discover when we pair the delight of these wines with learning for an all encompassing experience.

CATSKILL WINE PARTY
We’re throwing a wine party at 27Cafe to celebrate the flavors of our home and neighbors. Catskill based Left Bank Ciders and Ensemble are pouring up their ferments. Filipino culinary studio Sira Ulō is keeping us fed and palettes activated.

SHATTERED Wine Seminar at Atlantis Wine Fair
SHATTERED Wine Seminar returns at the very first Atlantis Wine Fair! A fair dedicated to the bounty of thoughtful producers based in NY state, by Katie Morton. During the first hour of the fair, Sam Hewitt of SHATTERED will host a 1 hour panel discussion with 3 Hudson Valley Producers to reveal the realities and personal stories of winemaking in this region.
ABOUT ATLANTIS
Atlantis aims to foster a forum for progressive winemaking in the state by creating a space for learning, discussion, support and excitement for consumers and producers alike. Though the focus of the fair is on grape wines, the full list includes producers of wine, cider and other beverages. We aim to show that the New York beverage-making community is linked not only by their products but also by the people that make them.

SHATTERED Wine Seminar: Rose Hill X Sira Ulō
Join us for a 1 hour discussion with head wine maker Sam Rogers of Rose Hill Farm, a tasting of 3 Rose Hill wines, followed by a communal-style dinner of shared plates made by Sira Ulō. The bar and bottle shop will be open for service during dinner and social hour post seminar.
Pop-up at SMØR NYC
Join us at Smør Clinton Hill on April 8 for a special one night dinner pop-up in collaboration with Neki Selection and chef Chris Weathered from Mill & Main. The evening will feature West African inspired dishes alongside Georgian pours, highlighting bold, vibrant flavors and seasonal ingredients.
Expect a menu centered around fresh vegetables, warm spices, and shareable plates, with a mix of bright salads, crispy bites, and rich, savory skewers. Dishes will be designed to showcase depth of flavor while keeping things approachable and perfect for the table.
