Over millennia, wine has served as an emancipator, a vehicle for hope and magic, and a connection to the divine. Through topics of ritual, resistance and mysticism we will explore the many aspects of wine beyond our surface level experience of popping a bottle open at dinner (although that's a part of the story too!) and learn about the ways wine has connected humans throughout time.
 

In partnership with natural wine purveyors Jenny & Francois and wine educator Sam Hewitt, this evening will unfold into a guided wine tasting social that travels deep into Eastern Europe and into ancient stories that are still very much alive. 

Under the guidance of Sam, we'll treat wine as a medium. Viewed in this way, wine carries cultural history directly to the senses. Together, we'll explore the mystic and cultural origins of wines from Georgia, Slovenia and Hungary while talking and sharing about what we discover when we pair the delight of these wines with learning for an all encompassing experience.
